When Laura Sosa Rocha, Director of Production for the Truth and Lending Team at Heritage Bank, got into the mortgage business, she was determined to treat each client as a person, not a number.

“When I was getting my first house, I went to the bank for a loan and was very turned off by the process. It was taking too long and I figured I could do this on my own,” she shares. “My very first month in the business, I was a top producer and closed 11 loans. I promised I’d never treat clients the way I had been treated.”

Laura’s clients have referred to her as The Mortgage Ninja or the Mortgage Whisperer because she gets deals closed and has a knack for calming clients down. She says she has spoken with clients at 11 pm and returned texts at 7 am
or Christmas Day during her 17 years in the business. “I don’t want clients to go through what I did. My philosophy is I really care about clients and I want to make the experience easy and stress free,” she says.
