- David Barrett is a member of the Atlanta office of The Fryer Law Firm, P.C., where he specializes in residential real estate closings. Mr. Barrett routinely oversees the entire real estate closing process through reviewing contracts, analyzing titles, reviewing taxes, reviewing surveys, preparing easements, and leading the actual closings. Mr. Barrett enjoys working with new subdivision developments, REO departments, and Short sale or loss mitigation departments. On a weekly basis he attends meetings with both real estate agents and loan officers to assess the status of the real estate industry from the perspective of others industry. On a monthly basis, he offers classes to real estate agents on the legal perspective of numerous aspects of the real estate closing process. Mr. Barrett attended Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia, for his A.S. degree, and Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia where he received his undergraduate and law degrees. Mr. Barrett has practiced law since 1989 and has specialized in residential real estate law since 1995. Mr. Barrett’s professional involvement includes membership in the State Bar of Georgia, Real Estate Division, Georgia Real Estate Closing Attorney Association, Neighborhood Title Group, and The Florida Bar. In the community, Mr. Barrett is the senior minister with the Center for Spiritual Living Midtown. His hobbies include, skiing, hiking, and camping around the country.
- Leigh Langston Clack is a life-long resident of Atlanta, growing up in Martin Manor and living in Pine Hills for over 25 years, where she has raised her two sons and has served as an officer of the Pine Hills Civic Association and the Roxboro Valley Association. Her education includes Emory Law School (J.D.), Georgia State University Business School (Master’s in Taxation), University of Georgia (B.S. in Psychology with Honors), and North Fulton High School in Garden Hills. She has been a residential closing attorney for over 25 years and has managed several offices.
Leigh served on the Executive Committee of the State Bar of Georgia Real Estate Section and as Chairperson of the Atlanta Bar Association Real Estate Section. She has held both Georgia Salesperson and Broker real estate licenses, and she served as Secretary to the Atlanta Women’s Council of Realtors, where she was awarded Affiliate of the Year. Leigh has authored several publications, including “Preparing for a Closing” (The Practical Lawyer); “The Psychology of a Closing” (Atlanta Real Estate Magazine), and the “Buying a Home” handbook for the State Bar of Georgia, and in addition has written and presented dozens of articles and seminars to the real estate industry, including attorneys, law students, real estate agents and mortgage professionals.
